Southern Love Productions — Privacy Policy (Google User Data)
Effective date: October 2025
Southern Love Productions (“SLP”, “we”, “us”) provides workflow tools for podcasts and streamers, including Google Workspace automations. This policy explains what Google user data we access via your authorization, how we use it, how we share it, how we store and protect it, and how you can request deletion.
1) Data we access from Google (scopes)
Depending on which features you enable, our app may request these Google API scopes:
Google Drive (…/auth/drive): read/write Drive folders and files you choose (e.g., create episode/stream folders, duplicate templates).
Google Sheets (…/auth/spreadsheets): read/write your PM spreadsheet rows (statuses, links, dates).
Google Docs (…/auth/documents): create or update show notes / templates you request.
Google Calendar (…/auth/calendar): create or update calendar events you request.
Apps Script execution (…/auth/script.scriptapp, …/auth/script.send_mail, …/auth/script.external_request): run automations you trigger, send emails you request (alerts), and call webhook endpoints you configure (e.g., Discord).
We do not request broader Gmail or Contacts scopes.
We only access the specific files/folders/sheets/documents you point the app to or that the app itself creates for you.
2) How we use your Google user data
To automate folder and document creation in your Google Drive as you request.
To update your tracking spreadsheet (e.g., episode/stream rows, statuses, links).
To create calendar events you ask for (deadlines, publish dates).
To send notifications you opt into (email or webhooks you provide, e.g., Discord).
To read file/folder metadata necessary to place items in the right location and write links back to your sheet.
We do not use your Google user data for advertising, user profiling, or selling data.
3) Sharing of Google user data
We do not sell or rent your data. We only share data when you explicitly connect third-party services:
Discord or similar webhooks (optional): If you enter a webhook URL, we send only the minimal payload you configure (e.g., episode title, status, Drive/Doc links).
Email delivery (optional): If you enable email alerts, the content of the alert is sent to the recipients you specify.
Otherwise, data remains within your Google account. Standard subprocessors used by the platform providers (e.g., Google itself) may process data per their terms.
4) Storage & security
Where data lives: Your content (folders, files, sheets, docs) lives in your Google account.
Configuration data: App settings (e.g., folder IDs, calendar IDs, webhooks) may be stored in Google Apps Script Properties and/or in cells inside your own spreadsheet.
Our servers: At this time, SLP does not persist copies of your Drive files or Sheets on our own servers. If diagnostic logs are enabled, they contain only metadata necessary to troubleshoot (timestamps, action type, file/folder IDs).
Protection: We use Google’s security model for authentication (OAuth 2.0). Access tokens are handled by Google/Apps Script. Any optional diagnostic data is access-restricted to authorized personnel only.
5) Data retention & deletion
In your Google account: You control retention. You may delete any folders, files, or sheets at any time.
App configuration (Script Properties / Sheet cells): You can remove our add-on/script and delete properties or the configuration sheet at any time.
Diagnostic/support emails: If you emailed us support data, we keep it only as long as needed to resolve the issue. You can request deletion at any time.
User deletion requests: Email southernloveproductions@gmail.com with subject “Data Deletion Request”. We will confirm and then delete any SLP-held data (e.g., diagnostics/support) within 30 days, and provide instructions for removing the add-on and purging config from your Google files.
6) Your choices & access
Revoke access: You can revoke our app’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Granular features: You decide which features to enable (e.g., Discord alerts, Calendar).
Viewing data: Your data is visible directly in your Google Drive, Sheets, and Calendar.
7) Children’s data
Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or under the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect such data.
8) Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we access, use, or share Google user data, we will update this page and, when required, notify users before changes take effect.
